Michael Haider – Chief Exectuive Officer and co-founder of CMDG
Michael Haider has over 40 years of medical business, finance and management experience, most recently as president and CEO of BioE, Inc. and BioE LLC (October 1998 – October 2011). Prior to joining BioE, he was President and owner of Kodiak Restoration, a dental and medical equipment service company; president and co-founder of PulseTrend, Inc., a maker of ambulatory blood pressure devices; and vice president and CFO of PPT Vision, a producer of machine vision technologies. Prior to these endeavors, Mr. Haider held a variety of positions in corporate finance at Medtronic, Inc., a leading provider of medical devices. He was named one of Twin Cities-based Finance and Commerce’s “Innovators of the Year” in 2003. Other honors include: 2006 Minnesota Tekne Award, Emerging Biotechnology Company category and Twin Cities Business, 2007 Biosciences Success Stories. Mr. Haider holds a Bachelor of Science degree from St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN.
Carol Buchert, MT (ASCP) – President and co-founder of CMDG
Carol Buchert most recently served as Vice President of Operations, Regulatory, Quality and Business Development for BioE, Inc. and BioE LLC (1996-2011). Ms. Buchert has more than 20 years of senior-level management experience encompassing clinical diagnostics, quality assurance and control, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing. Previously, she was the supervisor of Elmhurst Memorial Hospital’s (Elmhurst, Ill.) Clinical Diagnostic Immunology and Flow Cytometry laboratories. Prior to this position, Ms. Buchert was a medical technologist within the Michael Reese Medical Center’s Clinical Diagnostic Immunology, Flow Cytometry and Serology laboratory and the clinical chemistry laboratory at Humana Hospital. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology from Eastern Illinois University. Additionally, Ms. Buchert is certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologist, and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathologist, the American Association of Blood banks and the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society.
Daniel Collins, Ph.D. – Vice President, Chief Scientific Officer and co-founder of CMDG
Dr. Daniel Collins has over 30 years of medical industry experience. He co-founded BioE, Inc. in 1993 and served as its executive vice president, Chief Scientific Officer and board member. Before founding BioE, Dr. Collins was director of R&D Systems, Inc.’s Flow Cytometry Products department; director of Coulter Corporation’s hematology lab within its Immunology division; and director of the Harrington Cancer Center’s Immunology, Hematology and Oncology specialty laboratory. He also was an assistant professor at Texas Tech University. Additionally, Dr. Collins was awarded a postdoctoral National Institutes of Health fellowship in tumor immunology at Wake Forest University. He holds a Doctorate degree in immunoparasitology from Louisiana State University; a Mater of Science degree in public health in tropical medicine from Tulane University; and a Bachelor’s degree in marine biology from Long Island University.
